Finally, after a Week of clouds, clouds, clouds in Austria!… Our Idea worked out! Be as high up as possible for a good horizon, as well as to be above the clouds!
-> Ötztal Mountain Range, -20 degree + Windchill (it was really, really cold), 3056 m – at around 05:30 p.m. clouds finally opened up
… with Dr. Wolfgang Kausch (Inst. for Particle- and Astro Physics, Univ. Innsbruck) and Dr Michael Winkler (ZAMG) + thanks to Mike for the spot on Weather Forecast for the area! And thanks to Oliver Schwarz for the support! Short Timelapse Film coming soon… It was a truly great experience we all will never forget, so great to see this cosmic traveller first hand above this dramatic mountain landscape! Now have to sleep, we just returned after a long night of starry skies, big mountain and some pretty cool cold night-skiing!
Cheers
