What have I done?
So last minute preparations for tomorrow ,which is the big day for me. Something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time – relaunching my epic “Back to the Light” album.
And you’ve all been fantastic, supporting. Thank you so much all you wonderful soldiers in the Bri Army and all my pals on Instagram. I feel like I know you well, although I’ve never met most of you. It’s been great. Thank you so much and I’m looking forward to spending the whole day chaotically running Bri-TV.
And it’s all very experimental. I’m sure lots will go wrong. In fact I’m sure lots will go wrong. I’ve put a little schedule up you may have seen it. It’s a very rough schedule and I’m sure we won’t be able to keep to it, but as you can see there’s lots going on.
SOME NEWS actually one is that I’ll be signing live my Contract with EMI, so it’s my new record deal with what is actually Universal but THEY own it now … so it’s almost like the Old Days. Thirty years ago I had a Contract with EMI.
So about 7.30am I’ll be beside my computer and this phone and ready to rock and I hope that you’ll enjoy seeing kind of behind the scenes and seeing what actually goes into launching a record. See really you’re thinking why do I do this? Why would I want to do this? Well the thing is, if you put your heart and soul into making something and you want to get it to people, it’s not enough to just make the music. the recording. You’ve got to get out there and sell it really because that’s what it’s about. It’s about playing to people and getting to people. So at my ripe old age you might think I’m past all that but I’m not and I don’t need the money and I don’t need the fame, but there’s something about what we do that makes you just want to do it. You want to reach out and hear somebody tell you that they feel something when they hear the music.
