Expression of Appreciation of your talent [Perceptions]

Hello, Dr. May…

I recently read an interview in which you stated that you were, or maybe still are, a bit perturbed by the fact that many give Freddie all the credit for the creativity and musicianship that was Queen. I just wanted to convey to you that I’m not one of those people.

Your solo album, Back to the Light, brings me much enjoyment. I can listen to it, again and again. As a matter of fact, when I’m walking with it playing on my MP3 player, I must restrain myself from playing air drums, which is my inclination as a drummer when I listen to it, as I’m fearful that someone may call to get me medical assistance because I probably look from afar like I’m having a seizure. That album, though, is one of my favorites to hear as I’m driving, and I play the steering wheel without inhibition.

Anyway… For what it’s worth, I for one, as a representative of what must be legions of people who feel the same way, appreciate your talent, your contribution to music and culture, and your extreme intelligence. Thanks…

Sincerely
Karen Mercury McCoy

Hi Karen

That’s very kind of you to worry about me.
